Which LinkedIn size to use

Link previews use 1.91:1 (1200×627). Native image posts can be taller, and 4:5 (1080×1350) takes up the most space in the mobile feed, which is where most engagement happens. Profile photos display small, so an 800×800 square with the face filling the frame works better than a full-body shot. The banner behind your profile is 1584×396; the left side is partly covered by your photo on phones, so keep text to the right of centre.

Quality on LinkedIn

LinkedIn recompresses images and shows them slightly soft, especially screenshots and charts. Exporting at the display size with sharpening, rather than uploading a 4000 px screenshot, is the fix. Documents and carousels are a separate upload type (PDF) and are not covered here.
