Prepare consistent portrait exports and review every crop

Use a 1080 by 1350 starting shape for a portrait set. Move each crop where needed instead of assuming the same centered frame fits every photograph.

Choose a portrait set for a specific destination

A consistent portrait shape can help a product series, an editorial set or a social carousel feel coherent. This preset uses a 4:5 example at 1080 by 1350 pixels. It does not mean every social service or gallery requires that shape. Check how your destination presents a portrait and whether its previews apply another crop.

Keep the original photographs and choose sources that can support the portrait composition. A wide group photo may be unsuitable when the important people span the frame. Fit within is available when preserving the whole image matters more than making the outputs identical. It keeps source proportions instead of adding a border. This tool cannot extend a background, rearrange people or create missing space above a head. Make those composition decisions before treating the collection as a uniform export batch.

Check headroom, product ends and embedded words individually

After adding files, select each image and inspect the preview. Adjust the crop position when the source shape provides room to move it. Keep faces, hair, hands and the full product where they are needed. Look for captions, logos or signs that sit near the edge, because they may become incomplete in the narrower portrait frame.

Batch settings are shared, but the visual decision is still individual. A portrait photograph already close to 4:5 may need little movement, while a landscape source can lose a large portion of its sides. If the preview cannot show all the required content at once, use another source or another shape. The crop interface is not a content-aware reframing system and does not know which object is important. Inspect the real result rather than assuming a preset protects the subject.

Verify the delivery copy before downloading the complete set

The preset exports JPEG at 90% quality with Light sharpening. Compare faces, patterned clothing and small labels at the expected display size. Strong sharpening can emphasize noise or add halos, especially to a source that has already been processed. Exact output can enlarge a small file, but the extra pixels do not recover a higher-resolution original.

Download one difficult example and place it in the actual draft or gallery. Check any preview crop as well as the expanded image. A service may process the upload again, so the local file is not a guarantee of the final appearance. Then download the reviewed group, either separately or as a ZIP created in your browser. Use smaller batches when large camera files strain the device. The existing maximum is 50 files per batch and 80 MB per input, and the originals stay untouched. This tool exports images; it does not build or publish a carousel.

Check a mixed source set before the final sequence

Try a landscape photograph, a near-portrait source and an image with text near its edge. Their portrait crops reveal different risks. Move each crop, then inspect whether the subject, context and lettering survive together. If one image cannot work at 4:5, keep it out of the uniform set or prepare a different source composition in an editor. For a carousel or gallery, preview the first and last items as well as the middle ones so a shared shape does not hide an accidental omission. The export batch cannot decide the order or narrative of the published sequence for you.

Questions people ask

Is 4:5 required for every portrait post?

No. It is this page's starting example. Check the destination's current options and the way it previews the image before exporting the set.

Can landscape photos become portraits without losing content?

An exact portrait crop removes content when the source shape differs. Fit within preserves the full frame, but it will not force the output into the portrait shape.

Will the tool choose the best face position automatically?

No. Review each thumbnail and adjust its crop where possible. The tool does not identify the subject or guarantee content-aware framing.
