Use company Page guidance for this placement

A LinkedIn company cover is a shallow, wide banner. It is different from a personal background and different again from the images used in Career Page modules. Start by checking the placement you are editing. A file that worked for another part of LinkedIn may have the wrong proportions even when it looks like a banner.

LinkedIn's current Page image specifications list 1512×256 for the Page cover. This page uses an exact custom export at that size. Older templates may use other dimensions, so inspect the original design rather than stretching an old banner to fill the new rectangle.

Choose a photograph or a restrained composition that makes sense in a narrow band. A large group portrait is difficult to crop without losing faces, and a poster full of details may become unreadable. The company logo has a separate place in the Page layout, so the cover can communicate setting, work, or identity without repeating a tiny version of every brand element.

Prepare the band without distorting the artwork

Open the source and adjust the horizontal crop. The exact export crops to the target shape rather than stretching people or circular logos. Look for important details near the top and bottom because the shallow frame can remove them quickly. If the design cannot survive this shape, revise the layout in the original editor first.

The starting JPEG quality is a comparison point, not a guarantee of the best setting for every image. Examine gradients, fine lines, and the boundary between lettering and its background. Reduce unnecessary dimensions before lowering quality heavily. If the graphic is mostly flat colour and text, compare PNG in Custom and check the resulting file size.

LinkedIn advises keeping important details away from cover edges because display crops can vary. The tool cannot predict every Page view, so retain a comfortable central composition and check the actual upload preview. Avoid relying on a precise edge alignment that only looks right in the design editor.

Approve the complete Page presentation

Upload the prepared cover through the company's Page controls and inspect it with the real logo, name, and interface. A banner that looks attractive by itself may compete with the logo or leave an awkward gap once those elements appear. Review the crop before publishing the change, then check the public Page on a phone and a desktop browser.

If text is hard to read at normal size, remove detail from the design rather than making a larger file with the same cramped wording. Important company information belongs in accessible Page fields as well as any visual treatment. A cover is a supporting image, not a replacement for the description, website link, or contact information.

Keep a dated copy of the editable artwork alongside the exported cover. That makes it easier to update a campaign without resizing an old social download. IGCOMPRESSOR prepares a static image in your browser; it does not control Page permissions, publish the cover, modify the company logo, or guarantee identical image processing across LinkedIn views. Final presentation still needs a check in the actual Page.

Before replacing an established cover, compare the new crop with the Page logo and current brand colours. This is a composition check rather than colour correction: the tool does not alter the image palette to match the identity.

Questions people ask

Why does this use 1512×256 rather than an older template size?

Those are the company Page cover dimensions in LinkedIn's current official specifications. Personal backgrounds and Career Page modules use different specifications.

Can this stretch an old company banner to fit?

The tool crops and resizes rather than distorting the artwork. Redesign an old layout if the new crop removes essential elements.

Does this also replace our company logo?

No. The cover and logo are separate files and separate controls in the Page editor.
